May 2011

He's a huge fan of Uncle Jesse... including his shoes and hats.  A reminder to us to be an example as the little one's are always watching.

Congrats to Uncle Jimmy on his MBA... fun to be in Utah and attend his graduation dinner!

Sister Choi's memorial dinner

Some Saturday yardwork with Grandpa... Buddy loves "helping" Grandpa around the yard.

Baby Blessing for Eliza Ruth Yates... sweet baby girl.

We got the call today that we've been hoping and praying for our... our IVF was successful.  We are so incredibly humbled and grateful.  Estimated due date: January 11, 2012.

I'm so incredibly grateful for modern medicine that has made our dream of children come true.

After six weeks in Utah its time to head back to Texas... we'll miss family but it will be so nice to get back home and back in to our daily routine.

For Mother's day Joey made "a mountain of nachos" and a "tower of cupcakes" for my Mother's day dinner... creative and fun!  Next year at this time I'll have two (yay!)... I so love being a mama!

My favorite mother's day gift... I LOVE treasures like these!

We got a bubble machine... and while fun... I get asked to play with bubbles no less than 500 times a day... a small price to pay for such happiness I guess :)

On Sunday afternoon we go feed the ducks at the lake... sometimes our neighbors and Buddy's verybestfriendinthewholewideworld come with us.  We love feeding ducks!

Bunny and I got to host a graduation party for Nicole as we celebrated her Master's Degree... Nicole has overcome so much and is so determined!  So proud of her!

When we watch TV he loves to rub my ear and smell my hair... I wish he would do this forever.  I'm so happy I have this documented.... for when he grows up and moves on... so I can remember how incredibly wonderful little boys are.

He's always loved singing... his new favorite thing to do is stand in front of the TV and sing along with songs on his favorite shows (Bubble Guppies, Caillou, Barney) in to a microphone... he doesn't always know the words but he hums like a champ!

We have a new farmer's market in our little town... this makes me very very happy.  It's new and still very small... but we love going each week.

A short and very hot (hence the short) playdate at the park.

A little blurb on the Ettes blog about my page... I so love working with Fayette and Annette!

He takes his job as the mail collector very seriously :)

A little morning drum practice (in Christmas jammies of course!)
Little Ceaser's is only a block from our house... I'm not quite sure if that's a blessing or a curse?

All I know is that I love our Thursday night pizza nights!

Summer lovin'

Lazy summer days in the friends pool... mom's talking... kids swimming... one of my favorite afternoon activities.

‎2.5 year old keeps saying "Daddy, I wanna rock!"... which means he wants to play rock band...which means he really just wants to hold the guitar. Such cuteness.

Little Summer touches in our little back yard.

On our way to church... boys in sweater vests, church books, nursery, a nap and a good dinner make Sunday our favorite day of the week.

Liberty and I talk almost every single day... mostly on Instant Messaging... I though withdrawals if we go more than a couple of days chatting!

cutest little errand buddy ever.
Swimming Party for Lexi!  Due to a fall yesterday and some spotting I'm on restrictive activities for the next couple of days which includes no swimming even at a birthday party.

Another birthday has come and gone this week... I've decided to take self portraits each year on my birthday... maybe one day I'll make a collage of all my birthday self portraits.  May 35 be an awesome year!

In honor of my birthday Bunny, Tracy and Nicole came over and we Karaoke'd in to the wee hours of the morning (3am)... I'm now a huge fan of the Karaoke bday party... maybe I'll request it again next year!

Memorial Day celebration at friends house... bbq, softball, slip and slide... such a fun day!

April 26, 2011

January, February and March are now all caught up.  Wahooooooooooo!

March 27, 2011

March 27-April 2, 2011

I haven't given up on this blog... I promise. It's just hard to juggle everything right now. But I am still taking my picture every single day and have grand dreams of getting this blog updated... and then the pictures actually in to a scrapbook! Don't give up on me yet!

Chimichanges, homemade hot fudge sauce... a perfect birthday celebration!
Happy 27th Mariah!

place holder: here we go again picture

Every morning when he wakes up and is ready to get out of his crib he yells "Mommy!" and has his arms raised up high ready for me to get him out. I love it. It's one of those sweet little moments that starts the day off right.

Lots of "bah-he-ball" with Uncle Jesse. The kid cannot get enough.
Thanks Jess!

My brand new liquid eyeliner all over buddy and the bathroom. This pretty much sums up our whole day.

March 20-26, 2011

Singing around the piano... one of my very favorite Sunday traditions!

JCW's (for the best hamburgers in the world!) and a movie at the dollar theater for FHE.

Feeding chickens and gathering eggs while dad is in Arizona.
Carrie and I have decided that our country girl training should have started years ago.  We gag when dumping the slop bucket... real country girls would mock us.

He begs to sleep with the football... there is no doubt that he's 100% boy!

A flight to Utah for Joey's birthday, a lasik consultation and a surprise party with the family complements of Emma.  Birthday Palooza has officially begun!

A fun trip to Clearfield for Joey's actual birthday day... dinner at Texas Roadhouse and the traditional Lemon Jello cake.

Happy Birthday Joey!

A birthday surprise a year in the making... tickets to the Real Salt Lake game for two of soccer's biggest fans.   A sold out stadium of 22,000, a 4-1 win over LA Galaxy and two very very happy fans.

p.s. I think this is the funnest surprise I've ever planned.  It's going to be hard to top! :)

March 13-19, 2011

This morning before church he wanted his "silky" tied around his head. Life is never ever dull.

He makes the cutest little sighs in his sleep... I love watching him sleep. He makes my heart happy.

Lunch at JCW's. Here's the tradition and new possibilities.

He's missed his best friends. I'm not so sure they missed him.

Happy St. Patrick's day!!
Green milk, leprechaun kisses, a big family family, corned beef and cabbage, leprechaun punch, a leprechaun hunt and gold at the end of the rainbow. We love St. Patty's day!

A little yardwork on "Jesse's Tractor"

We love Gonzaga... except for when they play BYU. Watching March madness in mom and dad's room with Cafe Rio. BYU beat Gonzaga and advanced to the Sweet 16... first time since 1981. Go Jimmer!!

March 6-12, 2011

Eagle Scout Court of Honor for our friend Jacob. Joey was his YM president and he's the 5th eagle scout from Joey's class.

We've got a sick sick little man. High fever and hacking cough. A trip to the dr and some medicine and we're finally on the mend. I hate seeing him so miserable!

fun Leprechaun hunt that we got to help host with our play school group.

A gift from my friend Kelly... one of my favorite pieces of jewlery.
You can't see it in the picture but the leaves on the tree are little hearts. I love it!

Just because I love this picture. We got this little chair at the JBF sale and he loves sitting in it.
