March 27-April 2, 2011

I haven't given up on this blog... I promise. It's just hard to juggle everything right now. But I am still taking my picture every single day and have grand dreams of getting this blog updated... and then the pictures actually in to a scrapbook! Don't give up on me yet!

Chimichanges, homemade hot fudge sauce... a perfect birthday celebration!
Happy 27th Mariah!

place holder: here we go again picture

Every morning when he wakes up and is ready to get out of his crib he yells "Mommy!" and has his arms raised up high ready for me to get him out. I love it. It's one of those sweet little moments that starts the day off right.

Lots of "bah-he-ball" with Uncle Jesse. The kid cannot get enough.
Thanks Jess!

My brand new liquid eyeliner all over buddy and the bathroom. This pretty much sums up our whole day.

March 20-26, 2011

Singing around the piano... one of my very favorite Sunday traditions!

JCW's (for the best hamburgers in the world!) and a movie at the dollar theater for FHE.

Feeding chickens and gathering eggs while dad is in Arizona.
Carrie and I have decided that our country girl training should have started years ago.  We gag when dumping the slop bucket... real country girls would mock us.

He begs to sleep with the football... there is no doubt that he's 100% boy!

A flight to Utah for Joey's birthday, a lasik consultation and a surprise party with the family complements of Emma.  Birthday Palooza has officially begun!

A fun trip to Clearfield for Joey's actual birthday day... dinner at Texas Roadhouse and the traditional Lemon Jello cake.

Happy Birthday Joey!

A birthday surprise a year in the making... tickets to the Real Salt Lake game for two of soccer's biggest fans.   A sold out stadium of 22,000, a 4-1 win over LA Galaxy and two very very happy fans.

p.s. I think this is the funnest surprise I've ever planned.  It's going to be hard to top! :)

March 13-19, 2011

This morning before church he wanted his "silky" tied around his head. Life is never ever dull.

He makes the cutest little sighs in his sleep... I love watching him sleep. He makes my heart happy.

Lunch at JCW's. Here's the tradition and new possibilities.

He's missed his best friends. I'm not so sure they missed him.

Happy St. Patrick's day!!
Green milk, leprechaun kisses, a big family family, corned beef and cabbage, leprechaun punch, a leprechaun hunt and gold at the end of the rainbow. We love St. Patty's day!

A little yardwork on "Jesse's Tractor"

We love Gonzaga... except for when they play BYU. Watching March madness in mom and dad's room with Cafe Rio. BYU beat Gonzaga and advanced to the Sweet 16... first time since 1981. Go Jimmer!!

Eagle Scout Court of Honor for our friend Jacob. Joey was his YM president and he's the 5th eagle scout from Joey's class.

We've got a sick sick little man. High fever and hacking cough. A trip to the dr and some medicine and we're finally on the mend. I hate seeing him so miserable!

fun Leprechaun hunt that we got to help host with our play school group.

A gift from my friend Kelly... one of my favorite pieces of jewlery.
You can't see it in the picture but the leaves on the tree are little hearts. I love it!

Just because I love this picture. We got this little chair at the JBF sale and he loves sitting in it.

On our way to Utah!
Longest flight ever (two stops) but we made it safe and sound!

February 27-March 5, 2011

Spoke in church today on Fortifying the Family... its one of my favorite talks I've prepared. After a good nap I spent the evening baking... I love baking on a Sunday evening... its calming and theraputic for me.

Rain, rain, rain... I love Texas rainstorms!

Happy National Pancake Day! Our second year of meeting at IHOP for free pancakes.
p.s. really could the waiter have taken a worse picture???

I had the opportunity to go in and help Sister J.O. today... Sister O. is dying of cancer and it was a very humbling experience to be with her. I felt overwhelmed taking the assignment... I didn't really have the time that afternoon and I felt completely inadequate. It's amazing to me how the Lord compensations... everything that I needed to do today got done and I came away feeling grateful I had been able to serve.
p.s. Out of respect I didn't take a picture of her... just her room where we spent the evening.

Working at the Just Between Friends sale on the staff this year... this is Jayme the owner of the Sherman/Denison franchise... I absolutely adore her! Working with her and her team was such a positive experience and I look forward to doing it again in the fall!

Our favorite purchase from the JBF sale... a motorized spiderman bike. Buddy loves it!

Laundry day at the Francks house... even the littlest Francks is involved in the process :)
