One of our family service projects this year was to go trick or treating at a nursing home... Buddy had no clue what was going on but we had a fun night trick or treating at a couple of nursing homes and then going to Parkside Baptist Church with the Haut's.

Friday Night FrightFest at Sherman Park.  Basically way too many people trick or treating to the local merchants.

I love Texas this time of year... driving through the country and seeing field after field with rolls of hay. So pretty.

A FABULOUS scrapbooking weekend in SE Texas with my Louisiana girls... we stayed at the cutest little cottage, had all our meals prepared for us, a massage and three days of scrapbooking... life really does not get better than this.

One of buddy's favorite birthday presents bought... he picked it out himself. And yes, it really does take up our whole house!

A little darker than my normal Halloween decor... but it kinda fits my mood this year.

One of my favorite parts of Halloween are the cute shirts from Target!

He mostly just humors me :)

Pet stores give me the hives... but in attempts at getting good mommy points I took him to the pet store so he could get his pet fix. He loves them... I don't... this is how we compromise.

A little weekend reading? He piled all the pillows and blankets in to his old play pen and that got a book?

When I walked in he was just lounging there reading... he's so so cute.

Ward Halloween Party at the Peck's Ranch... one of our favorite activities of the year!

Back to Weight Watchers... ugh.

I think its a little bit funny that we meet in the First Presbyterian Church's Social Hall...

Nothing starts your day off wrong like a blow out on the freeway at 8:00am.

Thank goodness for a handy husband!

A play date gone bad...  Buddy fell in to the arm of our couch and had a huge lump on his head.  Because he was a little dizzy the nurse on call wanted us to take him to the ER... three hours later they said it was just a contusion and not a concussion and they sent us home with advil.  Poor little man looked like a klingon.. so the doctor said.

A trip to the Dallas Arboretum to see the Pumpkin Village... Pumpkin houses with a storybook theme... a fun way to celebrate Autumn in Texas.

 Melts this scrapbooking mama's heart.

A trip to the Pumpkin Patch and Hayride... trying to celebrate Autumn despite the 90 degree weather.

And I wonder why I can't ever get caught up?

A friendly little soccer game in the backyard when daddy got home from work... I love my boys!

I'm kind of addicted to spray paint right now... this bench looked horrible... weathered and worn (not the good kind!) from sitting in the back yard for so many years.... and now its a yummy chocolate brown!

Vampire pictures that are hanging on our family picture wall until Halloween... I know, I'm a total a dork... but I love Halloween!

October 1-4 2010

2 year check up

33lbs

36 1/2 inches tall (95% for his age... tall tall tall!)
Loves music and singing in general
Loves throwing and kicking balls
Sings Old McDonald all the time... but doesn't really know the words... so he just sings EIEIO over and over again.  Cutest thing ever!

This is pretty much how we watched conference all weekend.  We'd take down the towers and little by little they'd be rebuilt.  I love conference and am grateful for a living Prophet who leads and guides us.

 
A fun day in Canton with my favorite Jacqui Peck... it's my favorite time of year to go.   I couldn't find my pumpkin farmer this year but scored on some awesome pots of mums and had a really fun day!!  I love Canton in the Fall and hanging out with Jacqui!



Happy 2nd Birthday to my sweet little man!  We had a small family party to celebrate... balloons, a couple of gifts and homemade mac & cheese for dinner. Every day is such a joy with him!
