4.1.09 - Wednesday

Still sick. Day three of throwing up, the chills, a fever, a sinus infection and general miserable-ness. So a trip to the urgent care center to get drugs and Dr's orders to stay home from work until Monday.

p.s. Happy April Fool's day... although it was not celebrated... see above.

p.p.s. It was 12 years ago today that we got engaged!

3.31.09 - Tuesday

I've got two sick Joey's.... between lots of throwing up(big Joey), lots of poopy diapers (little Joey) and trying to work (my busiest work day of the week) it was a stressful day... there was a moment or two I thought I was going to crazy... but in the end you just do the best you can and be grateful that tomorrow is a new day!

3.29.09 - Sunday

I taught the combined lesson in Young Women's today... this is the chalk board after we were finished with the matching game we played.

3.28.09 - Saturday

Little Buddy is trying so hard to sit... I snapped this picture right as he started to fall and daddy had to grab him.

Look at those cute thighs... doesn't it make you just want to nibble on them!

3.27.09 - Friday

We were on Tornado watch all night... the tornado sirens went off and we got a recorded message from the Fire department to take cover in a bathroom or inside room. It was a bit scary but in the end we just got heavy winds and rain and were thankfully missed by the tornado.

Oh the joy of living in Tornado alley!

3.26.09 - Thursday

Uncle Jesse just got his (LDS) mission call... he's headed to the Birmingham Alabama Mission.... we are SOOO excited for him!!!

Happy Birthday to my hubby... we're so lucky that you are ours.

I looooooooove this baby... I want a dozen more just like him!

3.23.09 - Monday

Time to head back to Texas... we've had such a fun trip and its hard to leave!

The weather was glorious the whole week... by the time we got to the airport it was snowing hard... we're fair weather friends and are happy to go back to Texas where its 75 degrees today.

Good bye Utah... we'll miss you!

3.23.09 - Sunday

Today was such a good day... we went to Emma's ward to hear her speak... its one of the best talks I've ever heard... while I was there I ran in to my old boss Doug Edward's from TestOut... too funny.

Tonight we celebrated Mariah's birthday... the highlight was scones and homemade apricot jam... yummy!

So fun to be with family!!

3.21.09 - Saturday

I had mom teach me how to make her homemade enchilada's (including red sauce from scratch)... its an involved process but soooo worth it... and even though the picture might not be too appetizing they were so yummy!!

Other activities today included playing Abba karaoke revolution... and ya, I pretty much rock.

3.20.09 - Friday

Little Man had a fun and exhausting day...

1. Driving an hour and half from Mapleton to Ogden to visit Grandma K at work and shop for new clothes... thanks Grandma!

2. Meeting Auntie Jill and Uncle Bob for the first time (they're some of our very favorite people!)

3. Petting a dog for the first time... and loving it (and no you may not have one)!

4. Dazzling everyone with jumping, laughing and general cuteness.

5. Meeting Uncle Jimmy and Auntie Sara for dinner at the Cheesecake Factory (where unfortunately due to an interrupted nap you were not on your best behavior)

6. Spending the day with our Francks side of the family... although breif it was wonderful!

3.19.09 - Thursday

Enjoyed showing the girls the sites of Park City... after a full day of touring Historic Main Street, riding the trolley, visiting the Olympic Platform and shopping at the Outlet Stores we headed home for dinner and a evening of Smallville (the family is trying to get me to join their addiction).

3.18.09 - Wednesday

Little Man is loving alll the extra attention and perks he gets while we're in Utah... like a bath from Grandma M in the big kitchen sink... we love being "home".

Tonight I took Angelica and Kileen to Seagull Book and Deseret Book and then to Village Inn for Hot Chocolate (totally had flashbacks from College).

Happy St. Patrick's Day... so fun to celebrate it with family!

3.16.09 - Monday

Flew to Utah to take one of my YW for Spring Break to visit her sister who is living with my family... we had to be on the road by 5am... it was a looooong day (and flight) for baby boy and his mama!

Got my hair cut (didn't exactly turn out as planned... I've NEVER had hair this short!)

Went to dinner at Joe Bandito's with just mom and dad (what a fun treat!)

p.s. Ignore the triple chins... we're working on that!

3.15.09 - Sunday

We now have Sister Missionaries in our ward... wahooo! We've had them over for dinner twice now and we've bonded... I adore them!

3.14.09 - Saturday

Tonight was our class party... we played the Wii, ordered pizza and watch Kung Fu Panda... good times had by all.

We're missing four of girls... hopefully next time we'll have 100%!

Chinese take-out and episodes of The Office... is it sad that I think that's the perfect date night?

p.s. I love the fortunes we got in our cookies... and we are making big changes this year... hopefully they will be for the better :)

3.12.09 - Thursday

Today my bff Tracy had us over for lunch and movie... since we both work from home she thought it would be fun for us to get together and watch a movie while we were working on our laptops... we ate lunch, worked and watched a movie all on her incredibly comfortable bed... it felt a little bit weird watching a movie during the middle of a work day... but it was so fun... we definitely need to do it again!

p.s. Little man looooooves her... and he's constantly pulling on her long red hair... you can tell he's entralled with her!

3.11.09 - Wednesday

Tonight for YW's we had Spa night... we learned how to do massages, did nails and did paraffine wax on the girls hands... funny story though... we didn't know it was going to take sooo long for the wax to melt so we didn't have enough wax melted to be able to do both hands... so each girl only got to do one hand... hence the Michael Jackson glove picture :) ... the girls had a great time!

3.10.09 - Tuesday

On Monday and Tuesday nights daddy is in completely in charge while I'm working... this is his idea of babysitting... little man in the baby bjorn while they play Guitar Hero... hey I guess it works (although I'm not sure how much baby boy likes it???)

3.9.09 - Monday

Ok, I do not believe in posting pictures of baby's with food all over their faces... Its just not my thing (I apologize to those who love to post those pictures... and I think its great that you want to of your baby! It's just not my thing)... so let it be known that this will probably the ONE and ONLY picture that I ever post of baby with food on his face (1st birthday cake will of course be the exception)...

But this was a big day so it must be documented... this is his first bite of solid food AND he's in his new high chair.... the camera wasn't quick enough but his face was awesome... he looked at me like I stuck this vile stuff in his mouth and then he spit it all out. Nice. Good thing he's so dang cute!

3.8.09 - Sunday

Ugh... Daylight Savings time is nothing but torture (at least until I get adjusted to it)... a baby that doesn't sleep, early church meetings and now an hour less of sleep... NO THANK YOU!!

Joey also spoke in church today... meant to get the program with his name in it and totally forgot!

I'm so lucky to have such talented friends! This is a quilt made by my bff Leslie that I bought from her Etsy shop... I love this quilt (and Leslie!).

My Scentsy order was delivered today...... I looooooooooooooooooooove Scentsy!

p.s. don't be jealous thinking this is all mine... its a couple of customer orders. I wish I got to keep it all! :)

3.5.09 - Thursday

Tonight was the Relief Society Birthday dinner/program complete with authentic homemade Mexican food... I had to leave halfway through the program and I don't know why the picture is so blurry but that's my cute friend Amy waving for the camera.

3.4.09 - Wednesday

Tonight for Young Women's we had Mother/Daughter cooking night... each girl was asked to prepare a dish with her mom and then bring the dish and teach the rest of the group how to make the dish. It was a lot of fun and there were a lot of yummy dishes to sample!

Our landlord also owns the Barber Shop in town... so when we go to pay rent we drop it off at the Barber shop... for some reason this hits my funny bone every time... walking in the Barber Shop to pay my rent... and after 3 1/2 years the amusement has not worn off.
