A fondue party... an early Valentine's dinner with our favorite neighbors Nicole and Lex. This was my first time making fondue and it ROCKED! So fun!

Flowers delivered from Joey for Valentine's day... I was super surprised! He doesn't have flowers delivered very often.  Happy Valentine's day!

Little man sits on the counter while I get ready every morning.  It's one of my favorite parts of the day!

our internet was out so I headed to McDonald's.  Free WiFi, a strawberry shake and a big screen TV with Oprah on it.  It pretty much rocked.  I think I should make McDonald's my new home office!

Buddy wants to listen to whatever daddy is listening too.  They're best friends.

A fieldtrip to Yumilicious with Nicole and Lex. Fun afternoon and totally worth a drive to McKinney.

A picnic with daddy in his office... so fun to visit him during the day.

Joy's had a pretty crappy couple of weeks... pipes bursting in their house, their son being hit by a car, difficult family members... Dori called to see if I could come over and help out for a few minutes. I'm grateful for friends who help each other in times of need and happy to be able to help.

Our house all cute and festive for Valentine's day.  I love Valentine's day!!

A fun vday party at Lola's house... we had lunch and decorated sugar cookies... a fun party for the little's and their mama's.

February 1-6. 2011

Groundhog party with the Wexi's family complete with groundhog stew and shadow drawing.

Snow days... our little town was shut down for a week... it was so nice to not have to go anywhere! I'm so sad that hat is going to be too small next winter. I love the doggy hat!

We've been cooped up all week and decided a popcorn party for lunch was needed to life the winter blues.

Our little Musicians class at the local community college. Totally love this class. The teacher is great!

This is our third time to time out today... he doesn't seem very penitent does he?

This is how Buddy does a Sunday afternoon nap... all the blankets, pillows and animals piled on the bed (and on daddy!)

Saturday morning tradition... boys watch soccer and eat breakfast while mama gets to sleep in for a little bit!

Winter crafts with our playgroup...

How we spend our rainy days... wearing boots the correct way is totally optional :)

He knocks over the paper plate display at Albertson's, then lines them all up (have we discussed how much he likes to line things up?) and then sings the "clean up song" while picking them up.

Every day with him is so much fun!

King of the Nursery.

I've been subbing in nursery a lot until they find a replacement. It's been so fun to hang out with Buddy... he definitely loves nursery!

We have a serious love of Cap'n Crunch. When we went to the store today we had to restock the Cap'n Crunch. I put two boxes in the cart and Buddy started clapping. He's so my kid.

A trip to the quirky bank for a "Safari" with our little playschool group.

The lobby is full of all sorts of random stuffed animals.

Made meals for three friends today. I like writing love notes on top of the tinfoil.

January 9-12, 2011

1.12.11 - Yesterday we were a little sick... today we are a lot sick. And an angel appeared on my doorstep with a hot pan of lasagna... I aspire to be as good of a friend as Joy is to me.

1.11.11 -I don't know if it's from all our frolicking in the snow but little one and I are getting sick. A box of Kleenex was our best friend today. Another reason I'm so grateful I get to work from home.

1.10.11 - Texas boy's first time playing in the snow (ever!)... he kept saying "cold, mama! cold!"... haha!

1.9.11 - You know you live in Texas when they cancel school and close the stores because of one inch of snow.

January 1-7, 2011

1.7.11 - Girls night out... you can tell by the fancy earrings I'm wearing (not the outfit I wore though :)

Attended a swanky post-Christmas party hosted by a mom from our playschool group.  Girl talk and fancy hor d'oeuvres.. a really fun night!

1.6.11 - We live in a really neat little historical town... birth place of Pres. Eisenhower, Katy Depot, Lake Texoma and Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge just to name a few.

I love these cool murals painted on the buildings downtown depicting the history of our town.  

1.5.11 - At breakfast he says "More apple bob (apple sauce) please!"... I wish a million times a day that I could bottle up his cuteness and keep him two forever.

1.4.11 - Speaking of organization... my white board that hangs on my fridge. Lists, notes and things to do. It's a mess but it helps keep me sane.

1.3.11 - A couple of years ago Ali Edwards started "word of the year"... a word to focus on as you go about daily life. I've never done it before but this year I'm picking "Organization"... I'm not sure that's what she had in mind when she started the "word of the year" movement... but that's my word and I'm sticking to it. Organizing my home, my computer, my pictures and my life.

1.2.11 - First Sunday of the year and we're now at 9:00am church... grateful for the Gospel and a new year with fresh possibilities.

1.1.11 - Started out the new year with a fun dinner and everyone making a dish...whatever they wanted...

Yay for dinner by candle light, sparkling cider and new traditions!
