It was time to leave the family and fun and head home.
Getting checked in for our flight was stressful... I left the house three hours early just so I could get checked in... I used sky cap to check in my luggage, then turned in the rental car... and then carried baby, two carry on's, a diaper bag and a car seat up to short term parking so I could leave the car seat in Emma's car (who was in VA hence her car at the airport)... Got all of us (plus a laptop) through security. Checked in at our gate, walked four concourses to find milk for baby and made it back to the gate just in time to board. Phew. Some nice guy helped me put my carry on's overhead and the stewardess was awesome and so helpful... she even gave little buddy airline wings.
Got to Dallas, waited forever for the parking shuttle, sat across from Mitt Romney look alike, had the mean shuttle guy be mad at me because I left my ticket in the car (have no clue why he was so put out, I knew where I was parked!)... got baby and luggage loaded and drove the hour and 20 minutes home.... more than 12 hours later we finally got home... loooooooooooooooong day.
