7.20.10 - Tuesday

When I was working around the house I came in to the dining room and saw this... cute little bare cheeks... I knew it was going to happen sooner or later (or so I heard)... taking off the diaper... I love those cute little bum cheeks!

7.19.10 - Monday

My new favorite Summer salad... Tomato, cucumber, sliced up mozarella cheese, a splash of Balsamic Vinegar, drizzle of Olive Oil and Morton's Nature's Seasoning (in the yellow bottle).... mix it all together.... seriously so so good!

7.18.10 - Sunday

The end to a fun weekend... we mostly talked and ate good food... nice and relaxing and so fun to see everyone.

I think there have been at least a million pictures taken on this porch swing over the years!

Dinner from a friend... she insisted she wanted to bring dinner... for no reason. I tried to talk her out of it several times but she insisted. It was so good and such a sweet and thoughtful thing to do... My turn to pay it forward.

Desitin all over the rug, the bookshelf, floor and Buddy... I knew it was way too quiet!

Lunch with friends at Chick-fil-a... apparently it was "Eat Mor Chikin" day (dress like a cow an you get a free meal)... it was a madhouse... kids running everywhere! Even though it was crazy I love Chick-fil-a and their quirky promotions!

7.8.10 - Thursday

First day at the pool (since we've been in Utah since the pool opened)... it was cloudy and windy and hinted of rain but it was a good time had by all!

p.s. Little Buddy is much harder to manage this year than he was last year... he thinks he's a big boy and can just jump off the side in to the water any time he pleases. Heaven help me.

7.7.10 - Wednesday

I finally got my luggage back but not without damage... the rolly handle and top handle were broken... too broken to use anymore so its with much sorrow that I say goodbye to my favorite suitcase. RIP

p.s. we bought this suitcase in Hawaii at the Swap Meet. I loved that I could spot it first thing at baggage claim. I'll never be able to go back to just a black suitcase.

7.6.10 - Tuesday

An open house for our Kelsi who is leaving to serve in the SLC, UT Spanish speaking mission.

Good food and good friends... an awesome evening!

We'll miss you Kelsi!

7.5.10 - Monday

After being gone for almost a month we were so happy get home and to be all together again.

There's no place like home.

p.s. We moved to Texas 5 years ago today! Happy Texas Anniversary.... who knew I'd grow to love it so much?

7.4.10 - Sunday

In the SLC airport trying to get home to spend the holiday with Joey.  8 hours later, a canceled flight, long lines and a very unhappy toddler they told us there were no more flights to Dallas that night and I could either pick to be stuck in SLC or Denver... so I rented a car, drove back down to my parents for the night and then got up early early the next morning to go back to the airport.  When we finally did make it to Dallas my luggage did not... it was lost... for three days. Not our best 4th of July.  But I am so grateful for the freedom that we celebrate today.  Happy 4th!

Fireworks in Emma's backyard... Buddy was scared and cried the whole time... the rest of us had a great time!

5.16.10 - Sunday

Joey was Brigham's YM's president and got to speak at his Eagle Court of Honor tonight. After the Court of Honor we got to go in to the cultural hall for "refreshments"... Four types of meat, potatoes, rice, biscuits and gravy, fruit, three types of salad, etc and etc. Lumanie never does anything small!

It was a great evening of celebration and being with friends!  Congrats Brig!

A wonderful evening with our dear friends (The Moak's) at the Dallas Temple as they get ready to send Nelson on a mission to Mexico. Ice Cream at Braum's completed a perfect evening!

Family Date Night at Chick-fil-A (because it has a fun playground). We know how to party hard on a Friday night!

Projects I made for my "Easy and Affordable Spring/Summer decorating" class at church. Our activity was Spring Delight with four spring themed mini-classes... turned out to be a lot of fun and I love the projects!

A day of errands, painting, planting and projects getting ready for my Relief Society Activity.

Lucky me, I got Kelsi's help for the day... there's no way I could have done it all without her!

I love this little sign that sits in my window sill... so why is the message so hard for me to remember sometimes?

5.10.10 - Monday

A scary night as we listened to the sirens and waited out the tornado's in the bathroom (the safest room in our house). Joey kept calling from work with updates and I was so happy when he finally got home  safe and sound (at midnight). Oh the joy of living in tornado country!
