We have a new cousin! Baby McKenna was born this morning...

9.24.09 - Thursday

We are now the proud owners of a 2005 Chevy Aveo... my life has already gotten easier having the second car. I know its a luxury but I'm so grateful for it!

p.s. this isnt' really our car... we bought ours from a friend... but when my husband gets home from work its too dark to take a picture... so thanks to google this image will have to do until I can get one of my own... but this is the exact car that we have... color and all.

9.23.09 - Wednesday

My first night of Scouts and I lived to tell about it. Thank goodness it was somebody elses house... it was barely left standing by the time the boys left.

First day of Fall... my absolute favorite time of year!!!

9.21.09 - Monday

We've been without hot water for five days... so a hot bath was a fun treat!

Today we feel grateful for hot water... there are so many in the world that never know the luxury.

9.20.09 - Sunday

Tonight was Sister Bleckfeldt's birthday and she requested Fettuccine Alfredo for her birthday dinner... I made Alfredo from scratch and "Olive Garden" salad... it was pretty dang good!

Plus, I got to pull out the birthday plate... any excuse to pull out the birthday plate!

Helping with Saturday chores... and by helping I mean making a mess as fast as he can go.

9.18.09 - Friday

Finally a few hours with no rain so we took a trip to the park... much fun had by all!

My friend Joy does my hair at her house after her kids are in bed... highlights and a cut... Thanks Joy! Me and my hair thank you!

9.16.09 - Wednesday

Happy mail from my bff Liberty... such a fun surprise!! There was a cute little kangaroo included in the package but he's alreayd been confiscated and is currently being loved on by baby boy.

I benefit often from Liberty and her many talents!

9.15.09 - Tuesday

With so much rain we have lots of time inside... who knew that a spoon and bowl could provide so much entertainment... He's beyond adorable! And yes, the room really is as messy as it looks... sigh.

9.14.09 - Monday

It's raining and raining and raining... The perfect way to welcome fall... although fall won't make an appearance for another six weeks or so... we're hopeful!

9.13.09 - Sunday

I got done early and tried to get an earlier flight out but no more flights out for the night... so I spent the night in the food court in the airport... I read blogs, scrapbooked and tried to sleep. Flashbacks to when I traveled for CK and spent a few layovers in the airport. Thankfully I wasn't the only one sleeping in the airport and the time passed quickly. So glad to get home!

9.12.09 - Saturday

A quick two day trip to San Diego... went to bed at 10 so I could get plenty of sleep... laid there until 1am when baby woke up and then it was time to head to the airpot at 3am... turned in to a loooooong day!

Sorry Catherine... I didn't see San Diego boy... but I did look!

Eight years later and I still remember every detail of that day. I will never forget. I'm so proud to be an American. God Bless America!!!

I meant to do something cool all day long... but alas here we are and nothing to show for 09.09.09 day... so I "borrowed" this picture off flickr to celebrate :)

09.08.09 - Tuesday

I'm well aware of how horrible this picture is... but in the sake of documenting everything I spare my pride for posterity... in this picture its 5:41 am and I have not yet been to bed. I worked until 3:00am and then little buddy started screaming (teething??) ... I rocked him until he fell asleep at which point I put him in bed, saw the camera and said "what the heck"... and here you go... me in all my lovely, sleep deprived glory.

9.7.09 - Monday

Our morning routine... we get up around 7:00-7:30... we eat cheerios and bananas and then we wrestle with doggy, watch some sesame street, read books and play until its time for our morning nap. And we take our pants off every single day... once again his mama doesn't quite understand why we have always take our pants off... its just what we do.

9.6.09 - Sunday

We have three teeth. Its an exciting day at the Francks house.

Somebody is not as good at holding still while having his teeth pictures taking as his mama might hope he would be.

9.5.09 - Saturday

A last minute party for the BYU/OU game... lots of food and a house full or friends = a perfect evening!

Just in case you were wondering... BYU upset #3 ranked Oklahoma State BY ONE POINT!!! SUCH AN AWESOME GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!

9.4.09 - Friday

I went in to Dallas today to take a friend to the airport and run some errands... sometimes its still weird to me that I live here and that I drive in this massively HUGE city... You've come a long way Utah Valley girl!

As much as I love Dallas I HATE the traffic... hate hate hate! Friday rush hour traffic was particulary HORRIBLE today. ugh.

p.s. And yes, I took this picture while driving... not the safest thing I'm sure... but what's a girl to do when she needs her picture for the day??

9.3.09 - Thursday

My dear friend Angie watches my baby every other Thursday while I go to my Dr's appt... which is a huge sacrifice and she has four of her own children and a baby younger than mine! I appreciate it so much!

9.2.09 - Wednesday

This is our Whirley Pop... a birthday gift this year and by far our favorite kitchen gadget... it makes the PERFECT popcorn and we use it on a weekly basis!

Look who's becoming a walking champ!! He still prefers to crawl but every day he gets more confident! I think he's beyond adorable.

p.s. ignore the mess... I don't know why he insists on pulling EVERYTHING out several times a day.

Dinner at our favorite Meixcan restaurant... we always get the same thing... beef fajita quesadilia for Joey and a Bacon Shrimp quesadilia for me... its soooooooo good! We loooove the Jalapeno Tree!

8.30.09 - Sunday

After 4 years of working with these girls we were released today... it was a really sad day for me... words can't express how much I love each and every one of them.... I'll miss them so much!

P.S. to make matters worse now I have to work with the cub scouts... I'm being punished.

Creative Friday Edition

Angie and I were finally able to get together to do craft day... we made a Halloween sign that says "Eat, Drink and Be Scary"... it turned out really cute! I hope craft day becomes a regular occurrence!
