9.3.09 - Thursday

My dear friend Angie watches my baby every other Thursday while I go to my Dr's appt... which is a huge sacrifice and she has four of her own children and a baby younger than mine! I appreciate it so much!

9.2.09 - Wednesday

This is our Whirley Pop... a birthday gift this year and by far our favorite kitchen gadget... it makes the PERFECT popcorn and we use it on a weekly basis!

9.1.09 - Tuesday

Look who's becoming a walking champ!! He still prefers to crawl but every day he gets more confident! I think he's beyond adorable.

p.s. ignore the mess... I don't know why he insists on pulling EVERYTHING out several times a day.

8.31.09 - Monday

Dinner at our favorite Meixcan restaurant... we always get the same thing... beef fajita quesadilia for Joey and a Bacon Shrimp quesadilia for me... its soooooooo good! We loooove the Jalapeno Tree!

8.30.09 - Sunday

After 4 years of working with these girls we were released today... it was a really sad day for me... words can't express how much I love each and every one of them.... I'll miss them so much!

P.S. to make matters worse now I have to work with the cub scouts... I'm being punished.

Creative Friday Edition

Angie and I were finally able to get together to do craft day... we made a Halloween sign that says "Eat, Drink and Be Scary"... it turned out really cute! I hope craft day becomes a regular occurrence!

This bottle of Oregano is one of little buddy's toy... I guess because its the perfect size... he hauls it all over the house... makes me smile every time I see it in his chubby little hand.

8.26.09 - Wednesday

Joey and I have worked together for the last 10 years in the youth programs at church. I love that on Wednesday nights we get to go to church as a family... little buddy is getting big enough (and distracting enough) that I won't be able to take him much longer and that changes will need to be made but I'm so grateful for this time we've had to serve together. It's not every person that gets to work as closely with their spouse as long as we have.

Melvin and Gerzon Rodriguez's Eagle Scout Court of Honor... we love these two... they are good good young men... and so cute and fun!

Melvin presented Joey with the leader award for helping him so much with his Eagle... quite the honor!

Last day at the pool for the summer and a dinner party with friends... a fun way to wind down the summer!

8.19.09 - Wednesday

Today is our 12th wedding anniversary. We celebrated by cleaning the Highway with the Young Men/Young Women from church as our end of summer service project. Nothing says romance like empty beer bottles and used diapers :)

This week is self portrait week.... self portraits of our daily routine.

One of my favorite parts of the day is little buddy's bath... he loves to splash and play and then we rub him down with yummy pink lotion and snuggle... its a great part of my day!

Today was busy but not very productive... a graduation party for a friend, grocery shopping, scentsy business, laundry... and yet here it is 10:30pm with nothing to show for the day... boo!

We went to the coolest Safari in Southern Oklahoma today with the Moak's... we had SOOOO much fun!! Feeding the animals, Camels in our car, scary Ostriches, and gentle Zebras and Giraffes... who knew that there was a Safari in Oklahoma!

Can't wait to go back!
