July 2011

Rubbing my feet with lotion while I'm on bedrest (totally his idea)... he's such a sweet sweet little boy.

My sweet friend Bunny took care of us for a few days while I was on bedrest... she was so great and Buddy LOVED playing with Noah (grandson).  We were sad when it was time to leave Hotel Luttrell.

We are all cars...  all the time around here.  I LOVE having a little boy!

I thought we were past being scared of fireworks... apparently not.
Firework show cut very short.  Happy 4th!

Snuggling with little man.  One of my very favorite things in the whole wide world.

 "Helping" with laundry.

Joey has been making us shakes... such a fun treat every night!

When a fork just isn't fast enough.

I love this picture so much!
photo texted to me from a swim date with Lexi!

Fresh fruits and veggies from roadside stands... one of the great joys of Summer.

Celebrating our six year Texas anniversary... moving here was one of the best decisions ever.  We love Texas!

I walked in the room and he was just typing away on my laptop looking very serious about it all.  I think I work too much.

Weird cravings.  I mean I like Taco Bell and all... but wanting it every day?

I've been taken off "full" bedrest and given the ok to resume "moderate" activities... so our first activity was an evening at the lake with friends.  Swimming, bonfire, dutch oven dessert... a PERFECT evening with friends.

skipping rocks at Lake Texoma... A Sunday family favorite.

Birthday lunch for Nicole at Fuzzy Taco's.  We love Nicole (and Fuzzy Taco's!)

Two very hungry pioneer children... I know this because they kept saying "we're huuuuuungry!"
A super fun festive Pioneer day celebration for all!

Fluffy Snow Cones with Lexi and Nicole... best snow cone ever. Totally worth the 45 minutes it took us to find the stand and the 30 minute wait in line.

Buddy is totally in love with The Fresh Beat band right now... he loves to sing and dance right along with them. Fake guitar and pants required. (I had just changed his diaper when they came on and he jumped up and ran and grabbed his pants and said "mama, mama... pants on!"... oh how I love him and his little ways).

Celebrating National Ice Cream day at Braum's

Chuck E. Cheese is my own personal hell. But little man loves it. So I endure.

Bow making activity with the girls... I have no need for bows so I just went for the moral support and chit chat.

Big Joey is making little Joey watch old Jackie Chan movies.... a whole new generation is being introduced to bad kung-fu. Karate chops from the little one included.

We've been trying to craft more these days... mostly we just get paint every where...but we call it crafting just the same.

Family date night at Logan's. Mental note: never, ever order the meatloaft again. Blech.

A run to Sonic in our PJ's for floats... When it's 97 degrees at 10:30pm anything goes!

Afternoons at the splash pad... its one of the highlights of our Summer!

June 2011

Sunday Skyping... I love technology... I love keeping in touch with family who is far far away... I so look forward to our Sunday chats... but the question must be asked... why do webcams bring out all the crazy faces?  (BTW... Buddy loves the crazy faces and laughs hysterically.  Thanks fam!

Pedicures with Joy before she's induced later this week...  My favorite pink toe color is Limbo Bimbo by China Glaze.

Gettin' his Summer do!!  All week he kept touching his head and saying "Mama, where hair???" haha... so cute!!

The pool is open for the Summer.  Hip Hip Hooray!

Accident on in front of our house.  We were first on the scene and Joey had to break up a fight between the two drivers. Life is never dull here.

This little guy LOVES corn on the cob.
We keep it stocked in the fridge during the Summer.

Best buddies.  We love spontaneous swim dates!

Early morning construction job.  Cute stripped PJ's requested on the job site.

Carrie and Memaw are here to visit!  YAY!!  First stop... Ft. Worth stockyards!

Funny beer guy at the Rodeo... he kept asking us to buy beer.. when we explained that we don't drink that we were Mormon he said "whoa! I've heard about your kind!"

Lunch with my cousin Marylynn at the Cheesecake Factory... Marylynn + Cheesecake factory = the perfect afternoon!
Sunday evening throwing rocks at the Lake... its one of our favorite stops on the tour.

Happy Ultrasound Day!  Today we saw one perfect little heartbeat.  (thought for sure it was going to be two... we implanted three)... we are so so excited!  Love this little one so much!

First day of swimming lessons... cutest tadpole in his swimming class! (he's showing off his mad swimming skills!)

Sweet little man... trying to wash his hands and growing up way too fast.  I love his little feet!

Celebrating the first day of Summer with a matinee to see Kung Fu Panda 2 (air conditioning required!)

Apparently iPhone pictures don't take too well in the dark... sad but true.

Gwama Francks is in town... hip hip hooray!

Buddy thought it only fair that he take Charlotte to the Splash pad... one of his favorite places in the area!

Daddy, Buddy and Uncle Jimmy

When we have guests in town a trip to Huck's for catfish is a must!

The little one begs for a bath multiple times a day.  He's hard to resist.

Happy Father's Day!  We love you!

An impromptu lunch with Bunny... so fun to get spend an afternoon with one of my favorite people!

Tadpole Graduation... cutest.thing.ever.

One of the scariest nights of my life... About 8pm I felt this huge gush (I know... TMI for a blog)... and found I was bleeding everywhere.  I thought for sure I was losing the baby.  I've never been so scared.  A trip to the ER and five hours later we learned that the baby was ok (so many prayers answered!) but that I had a big tear in my uterus and was on strict bed rest until further notice.
Bed rest stinks... but thankfully I had lots and lots of fun visitors!

Popcorn for breakfast... its how we roll when Mama's on bedrest.

Watching TV bed rest style.  This has been my view for a week.

And even more bed rest company... yay!  Thanks Joy and baby Eliza!
