5.16.10 - Sunday

Joey was Brigham's YM's president and got to speak at his Eagle Court of Honor tonight. After the Court of Honor we got to go in to the cultural hall for "refreshments"... Four types of meat, potatoes, rice, biscuits and gravy, fruit, three types of salad, etc and etc. Lumanie never does anything small!

It was a great evening of celebration and being with friends!  Congrats Brig!

5.15.10 - Saturday

A wonderful evening with our dear friends (The Moak's) at the Dallas Temple as they get ready to send Nelson on a mission to Mexico. Ice Cream at Braum's completed a perfect evening!

Family Date Night at Chick-fil-A (because it has a fun playground). We know how to party hard on a Friday night!

5.13.10 - Thursday

Projects I made for my "Easy and Affordable Spring/Summer decorating" class at church. Our activity was Spring Delight with four spring themed mini-classes... turned out to be a lot of fun and I love the projects!

A day of errands, painting, planting and projects getting ready for my Relief Society Activity.

Lucky me, I got Kelsi's help for the day... there's no way I could have done it all without her!

I love this little sign that sits in my window sill... so why is the message so hard for me to remember sometimes?

5.10.10 - Monday

A scary night as we listened to the sirens and waited out the tornado's in the bathroom (the safest room in our house). Joey kept calling from work with updates and I was so happy when he finally got home  safe and sound (at midnight). Oh the joy of living in tornado country!

Off to Grandma and Grandpa's house in Utah!

Did we mention we fly in style these days? Sesame Street on the iPhone and our own headset... a sippy of juice and we're ready for a long day of traveling!

4.9.10 - Friday

Today I had what I imagine a hangover would feel like. I got home late from taking down the activity and then had to work my real job when I got home. Got three hours of sleep. Presidency meeting. Running errands and packing for our trip. Soooo tired!

Homemade pizza is one of our favorite meals and on heavy rotation in our house especially on busy nights. We buy the crust in the bakery section at Walmart... throw on pepperoni, mushrooms, two kinds of cheese... bake for seven minutes and we have awesome pizza! We love it!

The end of an era... starting to sell off my scrapbook stuff. I feel like I'm saying goodbye to a dear friend... we've been together for many years. But I need the room and the money and so I'm saying goodbye. I'll miss you stuff!

Spending warm spring days feeding the ducks... I love this time of year!

p.s. this might possibly have to be a two parent activity now... I spend the whole time keeping little buddy from jumping in the water with the ducks... and he eats the stale bread.

Our friends from church moved two doors down from us. Buddy looooooves playing in their yard... his bff Lex, TWO slides and a bubble machine! What's not to love?

See the van in the middle... surrounded on all sides? Yep, my van. Some ding dong parked behind me (in an illegal parking spot) and trapped me for over an hour... I was soooooo mad and wanted to have him towed.

I finally got out when the car on the right left.. and I had to do some very creative maneuvering
to get out. I wanted to "accidentally" back in to the car... too bad I believe in the golden rule. Stupid golden rule.

The Easter Bunny came early this year. And he collects rocks like another little boy I know. And he's so incredibly yummy that I just want to nibble him all up. Seriously.

Got to go to the Dave Ramsey (financial guru) Live Event in Dallas. It was sooooooo cool! It was a great day of motivation and good friends. So glad I got to go with Troy, Joy and Kelsi. And the cherry on top of the day was being able to hang out with my cousin Marylynn too.

Got a postcard today from our international friend Viwaan.  Viwaan lives in Switzerland and travels all over the world for work.  She always sends us postcards from the coolest places and we live vicariously through her. 

This week our postcard is from Kazakhstan.  (In case you don't know where Kazakhstan is (like I didn't) It is neighbored clockwise from the north by Russia, China, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and also borders on a significant part of the Caspian Sea).

We love Viwaan and her fun postcards that come from all over the world!
