1.19.10 - Tuesday

There's always much saddness when its time to go to bed... this is his classic "save me!" look followed by a small amount of tears. I loooove that he has his sippy cup and book clutched in his hands... holding on to them for dear life.

November, December and January are finally caught up!!  One of my new years resolution is to try to keep this blog updated!  :)

1.18.10 - Monday

An afternoon in the sunshine and rocks in the mouth... he could entertain himself for hours with rocks...
I always want to remember these sweet little moments with my baby boy.

1.17.10 - Sunday

Joey was released today after serving as Young Men's President for the last five year. He's loved being with the boys and will miss working with them... thankfully he's now the 16-17 year old Sunday School teacher so he'll still get to see them every Sunday :)

1.16.09 - Saturday

Joey was working on a paper for school, listening to music and little buddy climbed up wanting to listen to the headphones... he just sits and will listen to music as long as his daddy will let him... I think he's beyond adorable.

1.15.10 - Friday

We took little buddy for a big boy haircut this week... such a sad little boy... he's had his hair cut a couple of times... not sure why this time was so traumatic... but he cried through the whole thing. Cute little thing.

1.14.09 - Thursday

An impromptu girls night out to see Leap Year... a great movie and such a fun night out... much needed!


The nicest old man offered to take our picture when I took the camera out... I love when people offer!  :)

1.13.10 - Wednesday

I got invited to YW's and and do a lesson for the Laurel's... We put together a cool little scrapbook for their senior year... I love these girls so much and miss being with them on a weekly basis... such beautiful girls, inside and out!

Grandma Francks Christmas box for little buddy arrived today... lots of fun goodies... there's a very happy little boy in Texas!

1.11.10 - Monday

A fun unexpected package in the mail from my sweet friend Joanna!  Cute BYU jammies and a sweet card... totally made my day.  Thanks J!

p.s. I loooooooove that she addressed the package to Little Buddy... too cute!!

Story time before bed is one of our favorite parts of the day... little one loves his books!

1.9.10 - Saturday

An early morning starting at 6:45am on a Saturday for a four hour training session for my new assignment in Carrollton... the meetings and training were awesome! And then it all went downhill... I was driving Joey's car AND IT RAN OUT OF GAS ON THE FREEWAY! With the brand new RS President in my car... who doesn't know me at all. I couldn't get hold of Joey so she called her husband. He brought gas and filled up the car. And then we realized the car was dead. Ugh. So her sweet husband went to get jumper cables from a gas station. Two hours later we were on our way home. It was sooooo embarrasing!! At least the day ended fun with a game night at the Haut's.

1.8.10 - Friday

Dinner to some friends who had surgery and then a fun goodbye party for one of Joey's Young Men who is leaving for the Air Force on Monday.

1.7.10 - Thursday

Appt in McKinney so Angie watched Little Buddy for me... I think its funny that we have the exact same van... there's been a time or two (or ten) that we've each tried to get in to the wrong van.

1.5.10 - Tuesday

I have a serious love of Chick-fil-A... chicken nuggets, waffle fries and the best lemonade in the whole wide world... I get the same thing every time!

1.4.10 - Monday

Christmas decorations are down! Usually I leave them up for another week or so but for some reason this year I NEEDED them down and to have things back to normal.

I got a new church assignment today... 2nd counselor in Relief Society... I'm looking forward to this new opportunity.

Vacation life is over and it's back to real life and Saturday chores... booooo... real life is overrated!

Happy New Year's day!!

A whole lot of lounging and doing nothing... the perfect kind of holiday! Our friends the Hill's got us hooked on Arrested Development and we spent the day watching episode after episode.We love the holidays!!

A quiet New Year's Eve at home (our first in many years!)

We enjoyed playing Beatles Rock Bank, eating yummy food and being together... being with the one's you love most is the best way to start a new year!

12.30.09 - Wednesday

I did it.  365 pictures.  A picture every single day in 2009.  I can't even express how much I've loved this project.  This has been one of the BEST experiences and it has made me more aware of the little details in my life... and as corny as it sounds its made me a better person... focusing on the all the blessings in my life.

I loved the project so much that I'm doing it again in 2010..

12.29.09 - Tuesday

Filling ALL of our RX's before we lose our AWESOME RX's insurance in two days... we'll go from paying $0 an RX to paying $30-50 per RX... I know we're blessed to have it but its going to hurt the budget with such a jump in price.

A big Family Home Evening with friends... so fun to gather together and enjoy fun games and food with friends we love!

Last Sunday of the year... I'm so grateful for my tesitomony of Jesus Christ.  And I adore our Church family they are our family away from family.  And I'm so grateful for the direction that the Gospel gives my life... its who I am, all day ever day.

Sweet wonderful Amy... one of my dearest friends from Freshman year at BYU... mama of six kids and as cute and wonderful as ever!!

Amy grew up here in Texas and now lives in Utah... crazy that we've swapped home states! We got to do lunch when she was home visiting her family for Christmas.

Merry Christmas!

Christmas morning was magical.  Little buddy was really in to his music station... we hung out, took naps, had dinner at the Moak's and talked to family.

Today we got to go see daddy at work and deliver Christmas treats for his co-workers... afterwards we broke my own rule and went to Walmart... two days before Christmas!  ugh.  Tonight we took dinner to the Haut family because Kimmie and Sophie had surgery today... its been a loooong day but everything is more fun when you get to hang out with Santa!

For Family Home Evening we went out to dinner at Logan's and then drove through Christmas Light Lane at Loy Lake Park...they're my favorite Christmas lights in the area!

A fun fun visit from my brother David and his sweet family.  They're on their way home from Utah to Virginia and we were lucky enough to get them for a few hours for dinner.
