Last day at the pool for the summer and a dinner party with friends... a fun way to wind down the summer!

8.19.09 - Wednesday

Today is our 12th wedding anniversary. We celebrated by cleaning the Highway with the Young Men/Young Women from church as our end of summer service project. Nothing says romance like empty beer bottles and used diapers :)

We love reading time during the day... we're a family of readers... I hope little buddy grow up loving books as much as we do!

This week is self portrait week.... self portraits of our daily routine.

One of my favorite parts of the day is little buddy's bath... he loves to splash and play and then we rub him down with yummy pink lotion and snuggle... its a great part of my day!

Oh my... can you seriously stand the cuteness!! He gets yummier and yummier each day!!

Today was busy but not very productive... a graduation party for a friend, grocery shopping, scentsy business, laundry... and yet here it is 10:30pm with nothing to show for the day... boo!

Cleaning, laundry, scrapbooking assignments and a movie and homemade pizza with friends.

I took this picture from my car window on my iPhone (not too shabby!)... I love a Texas sunset and good friends... always a perfect way to end the day!

Saying goodbye to Auntie Carrie! Its been sooooooo fun to have her here... I hate saying goodbye!

Now its back to real life...work, loads of laundry and young women's tonight... I definitely need a vacation from my vacation!

Lions and Tigers and Bears.. oh my!

We went to the coolest Safari in Southern Oklahoma today with the Moak's... we had SOOOO much fun!! Feeding the animals, Camels in our car, scary Ostriches, and gentle Zebras and Giraffes... who knew that there was a Safari in Oklahoma!

Can't wait to go back!

Road trip to San Antonio!

First stop on the tour... The Alamo (which closed five minutes before we got there!)... Dinner and a boat ride on the Riverwalk... We looove San Antonio!!

A trip to Frisco to take Carrie to Sam Moon's... the cheap jewlery mecca... apparently you're not supposed to take pictures... oops! We finished the shopping trip with BBQ Pizza at California Pizza Kitchen.

Auntie Carrie is here!

We slept in, went to the pool and got yummy hamburgers for dinner, bought ice cream and are now watching a movie.

Lots of hugs and kisses as we say goodbye... but this time Auntie Carrie is coming home with us!

It was long flight with way too many drunk people and we didn't get home until 2am... but we're excited for the upcoming week!

A busy shower day... a shower for my SIL Sara a shower for my sister Mariah... both expecting beautiful baby girls at the end of the summer!

A trip to BYU to visit dad and Carrie... a trip to BYU would not be complete without chocolate covered cinnamon bears from the book store!

Happy Pioneer Day!

It's been a long time since I've celebrated Pioneer Day in Utah... I loved going to the Mapleton Parade and watching the fireworks from Emma's deck... their house is across the street from the park and we had the BEST view of the fireworks!

Such a fun day!

Today's picture is going to be a CT scan of my husband sinus'... he's been having a lot of infections and the ENT wanted to do a scan... he loves the scan because it shows the outline of his skull... weird boys.
