6.1.09 - Monday

A crash course in Dutch Oven cooking... Heaven help me I remember it for girls camp!

It was such the PERFECT evening... the weather was awesome (not too humid), the company fun and the food great... I love summer evenings like this.

5.31.09 - Sunday

Today was a busy meeting day... we had a two hour meeting this afternoon finalizing stuff for girls camp... this evening the sister missionaries (holmes and bleckfeldt) stopped by to say hello... I'm always sad when Sunday's are over... tomorrow starts another busy week!

And speaking of crazy, where the heck did May go??

5.30.09 - Saturday

As soon as I open the dishwasher he crawls as fast as he can to the gate... I love my little helper!

5.28.09 - Thursday

On my birthday to-do list was a trip to Canton. It was the Joey's first time... and while they had a good time they definitely don't love it as much as I do! My favorite treasures for today were a beautiful hanging plant and a cute sign for the baby's room...
It was a fun day... thanks boys!

5.27.09 - Wednesday

Happy Birthday to me!

Today:

I slept in
Got a new computer (hooray!)
My friend Marsha drove 25 min one way to deliver me birthday cookies
My friend Amy left a gift and a small cake on my doorstep first thing this morning
Got tons of calls from friends and family
Fed the ducks at the park (my favorite activity!)
Went to dinner at Logan's
Watched movies

Such a great day... I'm so blessed and I'm especially reminded of it on days like this!

5.26.09 - Tuesday

Our friends invited us to the lake this evening... we drove to the beach only to find it was closed due to flooding. We drove around for an hour trying to find an open, non-flooded beach... no such luck. We finally ended up at the dam... too bad all the drunk rednecks had the same idea!

5.25.09 - Monday

Happy Memorial Day

So grateful for the men and women who sacrifice for so much for our country and my family.

Spent the day cleaning and running errands... it was nice to have a day off work and enjoy spending time with the boys. We (meaning Joey) also watched Land of the Lost marathon on the SciFi channel... oh my... much too 70's bad acting and horrible sci-fi for me.

Rootbeer floats with Chocolate chip ice cream... I know it sounds weird but its sooooo good!! Joey introduced me to this combination when we were dating and I've been hooked ever since!

5.23.09 - Saturday

I was supposed to participate in the Special Olympics but stayed home with a sick baby... but Joey got to participate and said it was one of the greatest experiences of his life.

5.22.09 - Friday

I woke up to these baby blue eyes staring at me... startled me a bit... mostly because I didn't know he could pull himself up like that! He's growing so fast!

p.s. I love that his binky says "I love mommy"... ahhhh

Aren't they adorable! Do you think they're going to be horrified when they're teenagers... haha!

5.20.09 - Wednesday

Got the sad sad news that my cousin was killed in a car accident.

I'm going include the obituary and maybe an old picture if I can find one.

It's a sad day.

5.19.09 - Tuesday

We call them twins or spirit buddies... both born on the same day within hours of each other... if this trip was any indication they'll be best buddies forever.

5.18.09 - Monday

Guess who's here?! Auntie Bek an baby Madilyn...

Auntie Bek has work meetings in Dallas all week so we get to watch Madily during the day! Hooray!!

We took them to our favorite restaurant the Jalapeno Tree for yummy Mexican food and then a quick trip to Walmart for groceries and goodies.

5.17.09 - Sunday

We love bath time.... and I love this baby... and nothing is better than a warm bath, pink lotion and lots of snuggling to end a long day.

And yes, 98% of the time he is this pleasant!

In addition to crawling this week little buddy also learned how to hold his bottle by all by himself... could we please spread out the milestones just a little bit further. Two in one week is just too much for his mama's heart

Thursday - 5.14.09

A beautiful late afternoon picking fresh snap peas from the garden (heavenly!) with the little boys... this WAS the perfect picture until little man started pulling Alec's hair and Alec started crying... I tried to get them to pose for a new picture but Alec was having none of that. He's sure the baby is out to get him. :)

Wednesday - 5.13.09

Lunch with my buddy Alec... he introduced me to his favorite... PB & Chocolate (nutella) sandwiches and insisted on us eating them every day I was there.

Tuesday - 5.12.09

He started crawling this week... we're house/sitting for our friends and they have tons of floor space... we had only been here for a couple of hours when he just took off!

I go back and forth between excitement that he's learning all these new things and sadness that's its all happening so fast... its just going by way too fast.

Celebrating my first mama's day... long awaited... much anticipated.

I love this little one so much.... he's truly a miracle and a gift.

Celebrating Cinco de Mayo (a few days late)... Mexican Bingo and some Pinatas... lots of fun...who says we Mormons don't know how to party??

Its been raining and raining and raining... I love the rain so I'm happy its here to stay for the next little while!

Little buddy is minutes away from crawling and is in to everything! Sometimes its hard to keep up with all his chaos but I wouldn't change it for anything!

I loooooove having fresh flowers in the house... I don't splurge on them very often but walking past them during the day makes me super happy!

Little buddy has become an eating champ... right now he's loving Applesauce, Sweet Potatoes, Squash and Pears... it's also helping him sleep longer through the night... hooray!

5.3.09 - Sunday

I looooove my crock pot... ESPECIALLY on Sunday's... I dump everything in in the morning and by the time we get home from church the house smells wonderul and we have a yummy dinner ready and waiting. Its pretty much one of the greatest inventions ever.

We looove Saturday's when Daddy's home... always lots of play time for the Joey's.

Friends at a national scrapbook day crop at our church put on.

4.30.09 - Thursday

Enrichment this evening was a service project making sewing baby blankets and gowns.
I got there late and left early so I was no help whatsoever... but I'm glad I got to partake of the goodness of these women!

And that brings April to and end. All in all a very good month for the Francks family.
